Can I put in a grant application without a sponsored knight?

In order to put in a grant application you must have a knight of the MDRT Foundation, who is also a member of the MDRT Foundation Canada provide you with a cover letter.

As a financial/life services industry professional, how do I become a member of the MDRT Foundation Canada?

You must first be a member of the MDRT Association, and then you must make a pledge to the Foundation. At this point, you will be granted membership, and then you can make sponsorship requests on behalf of charities. Tax deductible pledges range from $1000 and up. See our membership list here.

I am a charity and I would like to put an application in for a grant but I don’t know a member of your Foundation. Can I have a list?

As part of the privacy legislation, we cannot provide you with a list of our members, or the Association’s members.  You must find this information on your own.

What exactly do you do?

The MDRT Foundation Canada collects donations from members to distribute yearly to Canadian charities exclusively who qualify vis-à-vis the application process. You can start this process by reading the application guidelines and filling out the application form which can be found here.
